Associate Application Engineer

The Associate Application Engineer assist sales representatives by providing technical support to help sell company products. Serve as a conduit between the field and the other applicable internal departments. This support includes providing technical information on company products and the application of these products, assistance with custom product features and pricing, ancillary product selection and pricing, and quotation of 3rd party equipment related to company products. This position reports full time to our location in Delaware, Ohio. 


Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing clear, concise, and technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements and/or RFP's, ensuring proper scope and required technical specifications are met.
  • Apply Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support.
  • Assist in the review of custom equipment orders and provide technical instruction throughout the order workflow.
  • Provide applications sales support. May provide formal presentations to sales representatives and end users during factory visits and customer events, as requested.
  • May assist with post sale technical support.
  • May assist in providing product support to Offering Managers.
  • May participate in new product development projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required; degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Some commercial or relevant industrial experience preferred.
  • Some experience in technical scope review and formal proposal development preferred.


Special Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient and fluent in English including technical terminology.
  • Understanding of commercial infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
