Sales Engineer Intern

Based in Northern Utah, we specialize in Machine Design, Reverse Machine Design, and Simulation. We work with amusement rides, industrial processing and automation, transportation, and aerospace systems.

Position Type: Part-time

Job Function and Responsibilities:
At Apollo, we take an innovative approach to design and engineering. We blend machine design/development with analysis and simulation to provide a reliable and valuable product for our clients. We are looking for people who can help us with that mission. The ideal candidate will have some grasp on sales processes and strategies, some grasp on machine design, and be willing to learn new skills and new methods of approaching a problem. The candidate will, under remote supervision:
  • Interface regularly with existing clients.
  • Prospect new clients and new opportunities.
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and propose improvements to the process.
  • Prepare estimates, quotes, and proposals.
  • Visit clients and prospects when available.
  • Research new industries and opportunities.
  • Cross-train with the production team to better understand machine design, develop CAD skills, and learn fabrication drawings.
  • Document sales processes for future standardization and training.
  • Collaborate regularly with the head of Business Development.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Integrity and respect for others, especially difficult individuals, or situations.
  • Passion for relationships, sales, and producing quality work.
  • Learns new skills under pressure in very little time.
  • Work without the need for constant supervision.
  • Working on BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a Sales Engineer certification.
  • 500+ hours of 3D CAD experience in a working environment is a plus.
  • Experience with controls-integrated mechanical systems a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
