Manufacturing Intern - 2023

Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Intern is to support the Packaging management of the facility through supervision of daily production and processing activities including production schedule changes, losses, new process implementation, operator training, interdepartmental workflow communication.
 
Specific Job Duties & Tasks:
  • Provide leadership, direction, and development for operators through short interval management by walking the production floor
  • Ownership of assigned area on the shop floor – Drive improvements and efficiencies in assigned area
  • Work with counterparts, manager, and operators to drive improvements
  • Changeover and CIP process improvement
  • Conduct time studies, and execute Operational Efficiency improvement for packaging lines
  • Lead a team of machine operators and mechanics
  • Develop root cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone diagram, etc. to re-align operational performance with goals and objectives
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Creation of SOPs for new processes and procedures
  • Daily analysis of line performance
  • Report top downtime for production lines
  • Review weekly production and processing losses
  • Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality is a must
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
  • Internal traffic (e.g., various personnel operating powered equipment or handling raw materials)
  • Potential hazards (e.g., chemicals, sharp objects, heavy machinery, and steam pipelines)
  • Loud noises, agricultural odors, wet floors, and condensation
