Entry Level Engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) specializes in repairing, overhauling, converting, and modernizing ships and submarines for the U.S. Navy. Established in 1891, the Shipyard is one of Washington State’s largest industrial facilities, employing over 15,000 highly skilled ship maintenance professionals. The Shipyard has the unique facilities to dry-dock and overhaul any ship in the U.S. fleet, service and refuel nuclear reactors, and perform a wide variety of fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering services.

We are actively filling entry level engineering positions for interested and qualified students with majors in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, and Naval Architecture.

 A United States citizen

 Able to successfully obtain a government security clearance

 Able to pass a standard physical exam

 Have a minimum 2.3/4.0 GPA to qualify for an engineering position

NOTE: The salary listed is depentent on a GPA of 2.3 or greater. If GPA is lower, then there is a lower starting rate.
