Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position is created as a holding place of interest. Once there is an active openings from our company that is looking for full-time new grads, we will direct your application to the appropriate team based on your education, experience, and skill sets. 
As a Cloud Engineer I at DISH Wireless, you will play a critical role in the support of enterprise scale environments hosted on the public cloud. You will be part of a fast paced and dynamic engineering team supporting all public cloud platforms. The Cloud Engineer I role will support both automation level and resource level incidents. You will help ensure development software workflow and systems management integrate together and achieve the objectives of reliability, flexibility and scalability.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Popular Area(s) of Study: Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Skills:
  • Work in tandem with our internal and external customers to identify and implement proper cloud based solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills
  • Help ensure cloud compute uptime, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Champion managing cloud environments in accordance with cloud best practices and security guidelines.
  • Assist with automated backup and recovery of systems running in the cloud environments
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that provides 24x7 platform support.
  • Lead vendors through feature tracking and prioritization
  • Stay technically curious, research and implement new technical solutions
  • Support integration with multiple cloud service providers
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Fully onsite in Littleton,CO
  • Projects working in virtualized or containerized architectures such as: Kubernetes, Docker, or VMWare highly preferred
