Data Analyst/Process Improvement Engineering Intern

Group/Division
The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

  • KLA is seeking a talented and motivated individual for an internship position, working within the Broad Band Plasma Install Upgrade team in Product Support Organization
  • The job function would be to analyze BBP Install Upgrade BKMs and suggest ways for operational efficiency improvement
  • Validate for new and existing programs, upgrade checklists during Upgrade Engineer OJT
  • Review, analyze and group ageing Action Requests for Parts, process Non conformances and coordinate closure of these ARs by working with assigned Manufacturing Design engineers, Quality and Upgrade engineers
  • Create users guide to access all relevant upgrade procedures from various systems such as RDT, VFI, Enovia to improve efficiency for new hire UEs
  • Successful candidate will get exposure to our state of art BBP tools experience with our advance sub-systems -- Optics, Illumination, Handler, Stage, Lasers, chillers etc.
  • The opportunity to gain visibility by successfully completing the project and presenting analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Candidate will get exposure to: Semiconductor industry, robotics, control systems, software development, and working with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications
  • Senior pursuing his/her bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Lab work with some exposure to mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or optical sub-systems
  • Business Process optimization, Operations research, MS Project, Python Coding, Visio, MS office
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skill
  • Must be self-driven, and a strong team player.
