Integration Engineer - Industry 4.0

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Integration Engineer to join our team focused on driving the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies in industrial environments.  Reporting to the Solutions Architect – Industry 4.0, this role will play a critical role in modernizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and enabling smart manufacturing through the design and implementation of IoT, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence solutions.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain control systems using CODESYS V3.5 programming software.
  • Implement Industry 4.0 solutions in industrial environments, including IoT devices, cloud platforms, and AI algorithms using programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
  • Configure and integrate industrial communication protocols, such as OPC UA and MQTT, to ensure seamless data transfer between devices and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and IT, to ensure successful implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in Industry 4.0 and industrial control systems to identify potential opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Document and maintain technical specifications and design documents.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Provide training and support to operations and maintenance teams on the use of control systems.
 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, AI, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Cloud Computing
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems and programming languages such as CODESYS or IEC 61131
  • Experience with SCADA, MES, and ERP software systems.
  • Experience with configuring and integrating field devices, such as sensors and actuators, into control systems
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT)
  • Understanding of data analytics and visualization tools
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with safety and security standards and regulations in industrial environments.
