WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Summer Interns for the Fargo ND location
Would you like the opportunity to learn and work with respected engineers and technicians as an AET Intern or Co-op? This may be for you. You’ll receive training in the areas of construction materials testing and field observations to go beyond what you’ve learned in the classroom in your engineering or geology coursework. As an Intern/Co-op, you’ll receive insight on how engineers, technicians, and contractors work together on the job site to complete a project successfully. Internships are available during the summer, and Co-op experiences last for six months (full-time employment from early summer to late fall) and allow for a greater depth of technical training and proficiency.

IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:
Receive training on testing procedures/equipment such as Gradations, Proctors, Nuclear Density Gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
Perform field testing and/or observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel
Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Pursuing an Engineering or Geology related degree
Valid Driver's License clean driving record and vehicle to travel to job sites
Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds
