The Global Operations and Technology team is seeking a motivated individual with sourcing and engineering background to help develop the roadmap to improve the automated processing capability in our Semiconductor Manufacturing Factory located at ADI’s Beaverton Oregon location. The intern will also regularly collaborate with other manufacturing sites in the US and in Europe to define a harmonious automation roadmap for all manufacturing sites. Enabling this capability will greatly enhance the productivity of our existing personnel.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partnering with manufacturing operations to understand current manual processing requirements to help define improved automated processing needs
  • Research and baseline existing commercial automation capability and custom automation sources to meet the future needs of the factory
  • Define roadmap for enhanced automated processing in our manufacturing facility
Minimum qualifications

  • Pursuing either 1) Master degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or 2) pursuing a MBA program having received a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in robotic or other electro-mechanical systems
Preferred qualifications

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to productively engage with individuals from a range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with a high degree of personal ownership of their work quality
  • Self-starter with a strong worth ethic who will thrive in a dynamic 24/7 operation
