Central Applications Engineering is seeking motivated Applications Engineer Interns for our team located at ADI's San Jose campus. You'll be part of a large Central Applications organization with primary North America work locations in San Jose, Dallas, and Chelmsford, and European locations in Dublin, Limerick and Munich. We are looking for a candidate that can utilize broad analog fundamentals, develop applications circuits and/or software supporting products across ADI's broad product portfolio business units including: Automotive, Cloud & Data, Mobile Solutions, Industrial & Medical, Micros & Security, or Advanced Research & Development.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating reference designs
  • Designing software and hardware for ADI Products
  • Hands-on experience designing, programming, testing, and debugging
  • Generating Application notes to showcase ADI product solutions
  • Develop videos and other collateral to assist customers with designs
 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of analog mixed-signal circuit design
  • Embedded system skills
  • Understanding of circuit simulation tools and techniques and/or software development tools and techniques
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e., oscilloscope, electronic-load, DAQ)
  • Experience debugging circuits
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
  • Can work both independently and with a cross-functional team
