We are seeking a Digital Verification Engineer intern responsible for a wide variety of advanced verification tasks.  Work alongside ADI’s design and verification engineers to find RTL design bugs using industry standard tools and methods to simulation the design.  You’ll also help design test bench components and functional models.  Create and execute tests and learn efficient techniques for simulation debug.  Implement functional coverage and system Verilog assertions.
Located at ADI’s Maxim Integrated, Beaverton OR.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Digital Verification of complex SOC.
  • Working with design, and architecture teams to verify design requirements
  • Creation of verification plans, tests and verification methodology for block and chip-level verification.
  • Testbench development
  • Functional modeling
  • RTL design
  • Digital simulation, and simulation debug
  • Use of industry leading CAE tools for digital simulation
Minimum qualifications:
  • Existing student completing undergraduate BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent (must have completed at least 2 years towards BS at start of internship)
  • Some experience in Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL
  • Understanding of digital circuit design
  • Some experience using industry standard logic simulation tools like Questa, VCS or NCSIM
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Preferred qualifications (Additional Skills being looked for):
  • UVM
  • Experience in object-oriented programming using any high level language
  • Any projects on FPGA/matlab would benefit
  • Understanding of signal processing/filtering background
  • Good understanding of ADCs/DACs
  • Some experience using assembly language
  • Some experience with C/C++
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as perl/python, Unix shell
