The product application team in WPG is seeking a motivated, experienced product application intern to provide support to our WPG located at ADI’s RTP office. This group develops highly integrated RF transceiver products for 2G to 5G cellular base stations, instrumentation & defense applications and a broad array of software defined radio applications. The applications team is focused on addressing customer needs and supporting product roll-out globally. The primary responsibility of this position is to work with other product engineers to develop the DFE diagnosis tool which could support the customers on their DPD setup, evaluation and debugging. In the meanwhile the lab bench work is expected to measure the performance and debug any issues which come up with either hardware or software.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Understand RF systems and associated communications system designs from analog to digital including familiarity with RF analog components, A/D or D/A converter and digital front-end functions like DPD/CFR, etc.
  • Have an understanding of the role of key RF design specifications such as IIP3, Noise Figure, etc.
  • Test and debug transceiver evaluation systems using lab test equipment and by writing test code
  • Communication skills are essential so that the successful candidate can Interact with, present to, or be trained by teams worldwide 
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with communication system and architectures, basic knowledge on each block function and impairment, associated system simulation or design experience is preferred
  • Digital signal processing knowledge and related algorithms is preferred
  • Knowledge on software architecture, design flow. and associated programming experience in C,C# or Python is preferred
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members
Preferred qualifications:

  • DPD/CFR knowledge and experience is preferred
  • Software skill on Python is preferred.
