Analog Devices is seeking a Product Applications Engineer within the Wireless Platform Group to focus on integrated transceiver products.  This group develops highly integrated RF transceiver products for 2G to 5G cellular base stations, instrumentation & defense applications and a broad array of software defined radio applications. The applications team is focused on addressing customer needs and supporting product roll-out globally.  The primary responsibility of this position is to work directly with other product applications engineers, product engineering, production test, marketing, sales, and field applications engineers to enable customers to move fast with transceiver based designs and ensure a positive customer experience. 
The Product Applications Engineer will create and deliver presentations to customers, support customers by phone, email, and on-site visits to present information, answer questions, and debug customer issues.  Additionally, the Product Applications Engineer will write documentation that describes silicon functionality, firmware, and software operation to customers. The Product Applications Engineer will collaborate with the marketing team to engage with customers to understand, define and document customer system requirements. 
The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Understand RF systems and associated communications system designs from analog to digital including familiarity with RF analog components, A/D or D/A converter and digital front-end functions like DPD/CFR, etc.
  • Have an understanding of the role of key RF design specifications such as IIP3, Noise Figure, etc.
  • Test and debug transceiver evaluation systems using lab test equipment and by writing test code
  • Create system models demonstrating how the Analog Devices product functions in the system
  • Debug API and software integration issues with customers
  • Travel to worldwide customers and other ADI sites as needed
  • Strong communication skills are essential so that the successful candidate can Interact with, present to, or be trained by teams worldwide 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with communication system and architectures, basic knowledge on each block function and impairment, associated system simulation or design experience is preferred
  • Circuits knowledge that include one or more of the following: analog circuits, RF circuits, signal and systems, A/D&D/A converter and digital signal processing knowledge and related algorithms is preferred
  • Knowledge on software architecture, design flow. and associated programming experience in C,C# or Python is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members and customers
  • Ability to work simultaneously on many projects and set priorities
  • Team player, very good oral and written communications skills
