The ideal candidate would have a wide range of design and analysis capabilities, an ability to innovate new engineering solutions, and a drive to create useful engineering solutions for saleable products.  The technical focus is on power conversion, encompassing topologies and control for switching converter applications.  System level design responsibilities include co-optimization of power circuits and control, invention of new converter architectures to improve energy storage device and power switch utilization, and developing tools and models to streamline the power converter design flow. Silicon level design responsibilities include innovating and realizing commercial products using Maxim's state-of-the-art sub-micron BCD power processes.  
Requirements:
- MSEE  degree with 4+ years experience, or PhD degree, with focus on power conversion circuits and IC design.
- Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of magnetic structures and field solutions
- Academic coursework and lab experience building switching power converters.
- Strong foundation in circuit design and analysis, including both analog and power circuits.
- Silicon-level design/simulation/verification experience
- Strong laboratory experimentation and troubleshooting skills.
