The System & Tool group seeking a motivated, experienced software engineer to develop in-house CAD tools in ADI’s Silicon Valley site, California. The projects will involve chip/package co-design ecosystem, parasitic extraction and simulation flow automation, and assembly design kit development.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • CAD tool development & QA (Cadence Virtuoso environment in Skill programming language)
  • CAD tool integration and automation (IC/package layout design, parasitic extraction, and simulation)
  • Writing scripts to automate ADK (assembly design kit)development
  • User training and daily support
 Minimum qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science
  • Excellent programming with Cadence Skill, Perl, Tcl/Tk,
  • Knowledge of IC layout design and simulation flow
  • Strong background in Cadence Virtuoso tool
  • Familiar with Linux system
  • Good communication and technical writing skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of package technology and design flow
  • Knowledge of process design kit (PDK)
  • CAD tool design algorithms
  • Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $90,620 to $124,603.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
