Centric's Internship Experience
Centric’s Intern experience offers students the opportunity to explore a career in consulting. Our 8–10-week program provides interns the chance to gain hands-on experience working as part of a client-facing project team. The learning experience includes a combination of mentor coaching, self-guided learnings, and the ability to network with our operating group leadership team. Students are also encouraged to participate in company events, community groups, and other internal initiatives during their summer with us.
Who You’ll Work With
Our Technology Services practice enables companies to get the most business value with our assistance in planning, developing, sustaining and navigating new and innovative technologies. With the internship, our goal is to give you exposure to our work, and we hope you’ll take the opportunity to explore, engage, ask questions, and make the experience your own.
What You’ll Do
· Develop programming code in the appropriate language
· Work with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business impacting projects.
· Collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and integration of the solutions.
· Learn and apply new concepts in a project and team setting
· Develop an understanding of the service’s Centric delivers
· Build a network within Centric
· Be comfortable escalating issues when you see them
What You’ll Bring
· Strong analytical and outstanding interpersonal communication skills with audiences of all levels
· Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to be resourceful and learn new concepts quickly
· Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to take initiative without always being directed.
· Students who will be entering the workforce full time within 1 year of this internship program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
· Basic experience with any of the programming languages like C/C++, Python, VB Script, Ruby, Java, JS, .Net.
The role is virtual, but all candidates need to be in the Columbus area to interact with existing staff.
