Preventative Maintenance Intern - Summer 2023, Newport, OR

Pacific Seafood offers a unique, 12-week internship program that gives interns the chance to make an immediate impact on our company. This internship will focus on developing a preventive maintenance program for all machinery at the location by working with Maintenance and Engineering teams. You will create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each machine to ensure proper maintenance is followed.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) at all times
  • Write maintenance SOPs for each machine including oil change, blade, change, motor rebuild, and other maintenance needs
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Prepare project overview and present findings to executive leadership.
 
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood
Required
  • Pursuit of an Engineering or related undergraduate/graduate degree
  • Strong Computer skills in MS Office Suite
Preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Targeted graduation of June 2023 or earlier
  • Demonstrated understanding of motors, belts, and refrigeration
