 The Engineering team in Athens, Ga is looking for a self-motivated engineering student to assist with projects using an internal tollgate process. Candidates will support advanced manufacturing groups for project execution, factory support, and design changes. This will require working in a cross-functional environment which includes communicating with other engineers both at a factory level, as well as in new product development.
Job Description
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work on projects to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing operation including:
·      Plant layout
·      Manufacturing productivity
·      Tool and fixture design
·      Automation
·      PLC programming
·      Participate in line design events
·      Develop material delivery systems
·      Perform time studies
 Qualifications/Experience
·      Must be hands-on and willing to learn how to use equipment
·      Experience with CAD preferred
·      COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
 
Education
·      Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a related field of study
·      GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA
·      Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
