Process Engineer II

Job Title:        Process Engineer II                                   
 
Department: Kentucky Plant
 
Reports to:    Engineering Manager
 
 
General Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
 
This individual will provide process engineering guidance and support for the Kentucky Plant.. The position will be responsible for the application of cost reduction efforts, plant efficiency determination and standard cost development/analysis. The Process Engineer will develop systems, methods and practices to safely manufacture a quality product at a competitive price.  The candidate will interface with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvements in the manufacturing process within an OPS structure.
 
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
 
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering required; Mechanical/Electrical preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in cable manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong understanding in the processing capabilities of various cable compounds.
  • Strong understanding and application of OPS principles. 
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of engineering methods and concepts.
  • Must be innovative and open to the development of new processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills required.
  • Must have excellent P.C. Skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time and work with engineering personnel throughout the company.
