AV (Audio Visual) Services Intern

Summary of Position:

The purpose of this onsite 12-week internship located in Irvine, California is to prepare those interested in commercial AV by providing a thorough understanding of the basic AV Technology, Business Operations and Time Management functions of Lennar Homebuilding which will include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand specific business and technology areas as assigned
  • Gain equipment set-up and technology device activation experience; Related to Audio Visual
  • Assist in needs analysis for projects, in research for solutions for needs in Audio/Visual & IT
  • Document business processes applied to specific software applications being evaluated
  • Support Corporate and Division associates in identifying gaps of technology
  • Perform special projects as determined by the information systems staff
  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Increase knowledge of computer skills and AV technology
  • Develop team-based work competencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with employees, external contacts, and business contacts through follow-up calls

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Some college experience preferred
  • Certification desired: CTS (Infocomm)
  • Energetic, organized, and detailed skill with today’s technology
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Independent worker

Physical Requirements:
 
This is primarily an active office position that requires the IT Service Management Intern to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 50 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
