Manufacturing Engineer II - Chemical Process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assure processes, including equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work in support of the following processes: Assembly Processes for Aircraft Brakes and Wheels, Machining, Anodize, Chemical Etch, Aluminum Conversion Coating, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Waste Water Treatment, and Shot Peen.
- Continuously improve quality and productivity using the Ace Operating System for products and processes including compliance to these processes.
- Identify and implement cost savings as related to direct and indirect labor savings, and expense account budgets.
- Ability to lead activities related to compliance audits including AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
- Provide technical support for serving as a liaison between Value Streams, Quality Assurance, EH&S, and Design Engineering.

- New Manufacturing Technology Development
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
- In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- General understanding or willingness to learn about chemical analysis
- Experience in support of manufacturing operations with a focus on machining and problem-solving.
- Experience with the continuous improvement philosophy
- Project work implementing new equipment and technologies into a production environment.
- Supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, Process Hazard Analysis, and Control Plans
- Machining experience including fixture design, tooling, tool life management, CNC Programming, and Geometric Dimensioning/Tolerancing (GD&T).
- AS9100 experience is a plus.
- 3D CAD software applications (Pro E, Master CAM, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.) Design experience with Siemens NX is a strong plus.
