M.S. Research Assistantship in Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University seeks applicants for a graduate research assistant position to start in Fall 2022 in the areas of environmental chemistry and photochemistry. The successful candidate will join the Utah Water Research Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Kyle Moor.

The project will focus on the photochemical fate of plastic in the environment by examining how the optical properties of plastic change upon weathering by UV light and aquatic oxidants. Students with research interests in the global plastic cycle and undergraduate degrees in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or other related fields are encouraged to apply.
