Application & Recruitment Intern

One Refugee is a 501(c)3 foundation focused on championing individuals from a refugee background to obtain an education and prepare for a successful, meaningful, and professional future. Each year, One Refugee opens a competitive application for both new and current college students to join our program. The Application and Recruitment Intern will help the One Refugee team develop, implement, and monitor the recruitment plan and new applicants for the 2022-2023 school year. The intern will play a key role in addressing the needs of applicants and recruitment to uphold our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support One Refugee team members in creation and distribution of program recruitment materials
  • Oversee application process, reviewing all applications and communicating directly with applicants and education managers 
  • Lead communication efforts with local partners and high schools to distribute application information and answer questions
  • Research and contact additional public and private entities for student recruitment
  • Assist in creation and implementation of virtual info sessions
  • Provide administrative support to track online application and recruitment data
  • Support education managers in scheduling and conducting applicant interviews

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work as a team-player, both autonomically and collaboratively
  • Experience or interest in supporting culturally-diverse populations
  • Experience in programming and development; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible with people, deadlines, and technological needs
  • Ability to manage communication with community partners and applicants, develop communication materials for large audiences, and track applicant data (experience with Salesforce a plus)
  • Experience in recruitment a plus


Hours: 10-15/week (opportunity for remote or in-office work)
Duration of internship: 12/28/2021- 5/10/2022 (Flexible start and end dates)
Compensation: Selected intern will receive a monthly stipend
