We are looking for energetic, mobile, career minded and ambitious Early Career\Graduates candidates to join Kerry. Joining Kerry gives you an opportunity to continue developing and learning with our graduate development program, as well an opportunity to work on a cross-functional business project. Kerry has had success with graduates that have joined the organization and have accelerated and progressed their careers. 
 
Average program length is two years. After that you'll be placed into a role outside of the grad program.

Key responsibilities

Our North American engineering teams are excited to onboard four new grads in 2022 across the following teams:
 
  • Maintenance Reliability (Remote) 50% Travel
  • Maintenance and Facilities (Based in Beloit, WI) 30% Travel
  • Project Engineer (Remote) 50% Travel
 
Maintenance Reliability Engineer
  • Supports manufacturing sites in developing, implementing and improving Predictive Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs to minimize losses, achieve "zero" breakdowns, and extend machine life-cycle at the optimal maintenance costs.
  • Participate in capital projects at manufacturing sites, from inception to ”business as usual” final operation. including project planning, estimating, reporting, organizing project staff, coordinating, scheduling, installation, commissioning, qualification, start-up and financial control
  • Analyze and evaluate project designs and ensure compliance with front end engineering principles and company standards including sanitary design, and health, safety, and environmental standards

Project Engineer
  • Directly participates in the design, development and creation of scope for engineering projects or the engineering work of the department.
  • Creates project estimates and timelines for initial project consideration.
  • Assists in directing the installation, commissioning, qualification and verification for certain engineering capital projects

Maintenance and Facilities
  • Support the management and execution of maintenance activities for the R&D pilot plant.
  • Participate in capital projects, from inception to ”business as usual” final operation. including project planning, estimating, reporting, organizing project staff, coordinating, scheduling, installation, commissioning, qualification, start-up and financial control
  • Analyze and evaluate project designs and ensure compliance with front end engineering principles and company standards including sanitary design, and health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Participates in developing, implementing and improving Predictive Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs to minimize losses, achieve "zero" breakdowns, and extend machine life-cycle at the optimal maintenance costs.
  • Supports site with improving Maintenance work processes and building capability in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Support facilities team in selection and management of third party contractors supporting the operation.
  • Supports facilities team in analyzing KPI and operational data to eliminate losses, optimize asset life-cycles and maximize operational efficiencies


Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Preferred background in Food & Beverage / Chemicals / Pharma
  • Demonstrated knowledge and capability in statistical analysis tools and methodology
  • Must be comfortable with 30% - 50% travel between our plants in the US and Canada
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Versed in project schedules, cost estimates, PFDs, P&IDs, site and elevation drawings, utilities requirements development, interpretation of P&IDs, with a good understanding of process and instrumentation control.
  • 3.0 + GPA
  • Recent Graduate (latest December of 2019)
