Hello and welcome to Pluralsight’s internship program! Not only is this an incredible corporate strategy opportunity, by joining our internship program, you receive a full developmental experience. We have a speaker series for our interns focused on professional development, regular fun activities around town (and this year a trip to Zion National Park!), a team of people centered around you and your development, community from our BIPOC employee resource group seeColor, mentorship from Black team members, and of course - full access to 
Pluralsight’s tech skills platform. . 

You’ll work with us at our beautiful campus with full access to a gym, pickleball courts, yoga studio, pool tables, ping pong tables, a golf simulator, and an onsite cafeteria with a team of cooks and a weekly-changing menu. Our headquarters is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wait, Utah?? Yes - we promise it’s more than meets the eye! Impact H+U is a program built by Howards students that is designed to immerse Howard University students in Salt Lake City and is in partnership between Howard University, University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, and employers in Utah. This 12-week paid internship also includes housing with fellow interns, flights to and from SLC (up to $600), and public transportation pass and shuttle service. Our past Howard interns have loved it here - 92% say they feel they belong here! 

We are hiring a corporate strategy intern from Howard University for Summer 2022. The Corporate Strategy and M&A teams partner closely with the EVP, CEO and executive team to deliver results and help the company achieve its mission, vision and growth aspirations. As a Corporate Strategy Intern you will work across functions to lead organic and inorganic projects and solve key strategic and operational problems!

What you'll own:
  • Lead initiatives which could include: develop playbooks for sales expansion into new countries, discovery and analysis on adjacent market segments or management of a strategic project. The culmination of each project will be a set of recommendations grounded in fact-based research and data analysis.
  • Work alongside analysts on the Corporate Strategy team to maintain the strategic operating rhythm of the business - performing analysis covering sales, M&A, product, marketing, project management and IT.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the EVP of Corporate Strategy and other members of the Corporate Strategy Leadership team
  • Clearly communicate compelling insights, storylines and recommendations through a variety of mediums (verbal, slide, email, etc)
 
Experience you’ll need:
  • Undergraduate junior studying business, economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, etc.
  • Business experience with PowerPoint/Excel and in building robust storylines and concise recommendations
  • A track record of high achievement in fast-paced, constantly evolving and ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional communication skills with technical team members as well as functions across the business. Able to distill sophisticated ideas into straightforward language without jargon.
  • Experience building a network of trusted allies within an organization
