PAID Summer Internship with Air Force Research Laboratory

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is currently accepting applications for internship opportunities available at AFRL sites across the United States [including but not limited to: Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM; Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site (AMOS) in Maui, HI; Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, FL; Rome, NY; Barksdale AFB, LA; Arnold AFB, TN; Wrht Patterson, OH]. AFRL Scholars Program internships are competitive awards that provide AFRL-related involvement for students to gain degree-relevant, real-world experience while contributing to the operation of an AFRL site and supporting the advancement of DoD missions. Internship opportunities are primarily in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

Responsibilities, qualifications, and daily tasks are determined by the mentors (AFRL scientists and engineers). Questions related to position expectations and/or qualifications may be directed to the project mentors by using contact links on our website. Mentors are also responsible for making selections to their respective projects.

Selected interns are paid a competitive stipend award amount based on their academic level at the beginning of the internship opportunity. For specific rates, please visit our website. Interns are also processed for a secret security clearance.
