Project Scientist I
Jacobs is looking for a Project Scientist I to join the Dugway Proving Ground team. The successful candidate will be responsible to act as the chemist on tests involving Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA), Toxic Industrial Chemicals, Toxic Industrial Materials, or simulants of CWAs. Have solid hands-on experience with chemical and/or material properties testing. Analytical experience a plus. Lead a team of analysts, lab technicians, and chemists on test projects. Act as lead for method development projects. Qualify for the Personal Reliability Program and security clearance. Work with CWAs and other highly toxic chemicals. Review and accept technical documents and provide a technical response. Coordinate closely with the government test officer on projects. May be required to work long shifts, night shifts and overtime on a rotating basis if needed. Manage all day to day issues associated with project execution.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctorate (or equivalent training and experience) in chemistry, other physical science, or engineering from an accredited university (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
