Business Process Engineer, Early Career

Job Responsibilities
As a Business Process Engineer, you will work closely with Global Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Business Unit functions to implement process improvements to support the key initiatives on the Operations Business Process and Technology team’s roadmap. 
  • Evaluate current business processes and re-engineering opportunities
  • Assess new business requirements and perform process mapping and process design activities 
  • Analyze and propose solutions, gaps and trade-offs for process improvements
  • Influence decision making through communication and alignment with partners
  • Collaborate with teams for organizational change and business transition activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the area of responsibility through data analysis and creation of metrics
  • Assist management and end-users in the development of procedures and processes that improve Viasat’s ability to meet product system and customer requirements
  • Communicate with peers and supervisors regularly, document work, meeting minutes, and decisions
  • Provide operational analysis and reporting to Operations functional leaders, Programs, Finance, and others.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of business software is required (primarily Word, Excel, Power Point, and Visio)
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to present to Sr. Managers.

Preferences
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira Project, Lucidchart, Alteryx, Tableau, OBIEE, Confluence/Wiki
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP/WMS software applications
  • Understanding and application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other Industrial Engineering methodologies
