Electrical Engineer, Early Career

Job Responsibilities
As a Hardware Engineer at Viasat, you will be responsible for developing a wide range of diverse hardware for testing and troubleshooting our highly regarded commercial, military and space products. You will design test stations, Test fixtures, interface test adapter (ITA), custom PWAs to meet performance, robustness, cost, and manufacturability goals. In this role you will work closely with Operations, Production, and R&D on continuing to build our test capabilities for new products while improving existing test devices and methods. Your ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, in a fast paced, rapidly changing, short turn-around environment will be key factor to the success of the team. You'll be asked to contribute to program responsibilities to include proposal efforts, requirements definition, conceptual design, tradeoffs, detailed design and drawings, prototype build, integration and test. 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written, and verbal communication skills, great teammate.

Preferences
  • Previous internship experience
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes , spectrum analyzers, network analyzer, logic analyzers, signal generators
  • Strong mechanical proficiency 
  • Circuit design experience
  • RF knowledge / coursework
