Product Quality Engineer University Grad

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will grow your engineering career as you:
  • Review product yield and field reliability data for trends and provide analysis and recommendations to business
  • Collect, analyze and report quality metrics to drive continuous quality improvements (Pareto Analysis, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Cpk etc.)
  • Review material issues and collaborate with engineers to decide what actions need to be taken to address material issues
  • Contribute and provide input to evaluate quality performance of Viasat products.
  • Help coordinate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Failure Analysis Requests (FARs) for improvement

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Power Point
  • Strong math, statistics and data analysis skills
  • Some experience in Quality Engineering in support of electronic assemblies including SMT CCAs, Box Build and Test

Preferences
  • Working knowledge of PLM Tool (Agile) as well as ERP system (i.e. Oracle)
