Electrical Engineer, Control Hardware

Rockwell Automation is looking for a talented Hardware Engineer to join our new product development team.
 
You will join a diverse engineering team and be responsible for developing the control hardware and technology for our industrial motion control products. You will play a key role in all phases of product development including requirements definition, technology development, circuit design for embedded systems, product verification and certification testing, and release to production. You will work on a team comprised of engineers across multiple disciplines (e.g., mechanical, power electronics, embedded software), project managers, product marketing, and manufacturing & quality organizations to bring our product roadmaps to life.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
 
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Physics or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 years’ experience in embedded control hardware design or equivalent graduate level course study.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental EE concepts: Circuit analysis, electromagnetics.
  • Hands on laboratory testing; familiarity with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Experience developing embedded processor-based circuitry: Processors, FPGAs, memory, ethernet, …
  • Demonstrated experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with EM emissions and susceptibility, signal integrity.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
