Maintenance Controller Intern

Job Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance controllers who are providing technical guidance for personnel performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the IFC system, supporting maritime and commercial and business aviation.
- Support controllers managing system out of service activities which includes planning for spares, tooling, equipment, skill and adequate manpower to ensure systems are restored expeditiously
- Track, maintain and ensure all open anomalies across the installed fleet are actively being worked
- Review aircraft historical data and as required
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager, Commercial Mobility Maintenance Control (CMMC)
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an Associate's degree or higher in Avionics Maintenance Technology, Aviation Maintenance, Avionics Engineering, Aerospace, Logistics and other related degrees
- Ability to work with and understand maintenance manuals and maintenance programs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24x7 environment as needed to support round-the-clock operations
- Eligibility to obtain an Airframe Certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Computer skills required including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work as a team and individually
- Ability to work independently to resolve issues in a creative and effective manner
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship
Preferences
- Minor or background in Computer Science or computer programming
- Prior experience with RF Satellite or Wireless Communication systems
- Prior Linux and networking experience
- Military experience
- Experience using Salesforce
- Previous internship experience
