Product Quality Engineer Intern

Job Responsibilities
- Assist PQEs with product yield and defect analysis and review of trends
- Help drive root cause investigations and process improvement efforts as well as create/implement world class quality practices (i.e Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect diagrams, Cpk, etc) and business tools to help streamline this analysis
- Contribute and provide input to evaluate quality performance of Viasat’s internal products as well as procured parts and materials
- Assist with Coordinate of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Failure Analysis Requests (FARs) for improvement.
- Using your strong analytical mind and superior communication skills, you will provide input on Product Yield and Test Improvement
- Assist suppliers and manufacturing teams in developing production processes with inspection points
- Support production life cycle data based on program requirements
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Power Point
- Strong Math, statistics and data analysis skills
Preferences
- Previous internship experience is a plus
