Graduate Transportation Planner (Available 2022)

The Integrated Planning team at Arup performs work in the following areas: 
  • Transportation/traffic engineering 
  • Conceptual transportation design 
  • Transportation policy analysis, including policy analysis focused on transportation equity 
  • Transportation data analysis and visualization, including analysis focused on transportation equity 
Qualifications 
Required: 
• Bachelor's degree and coursework in urban planning, transportation, sociology, economics, civil engineering or a related field 
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher 
• Relevant intern and/or research experience  
• The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment 
• Experience using CAD or GIS 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working 
• Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels 
• Proven interest in the built environment specifically transportation 
• Ability to contribute to projects our team works on 
• Candidate must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role 
 
Preferred: 
• Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering or related field 
• Significant thesis, class project or studio work related to urban transportation planning, transportation engineering analysis, and/or transportation land use interface 
• Internship with transportation consulting firm or major transportation agency
