The Library of Congress is excited to announce the 2022 Junior Fellows Program (JFP) open application period. We write to you today to cast a light on this opportunity and ask for your assistance in encouraging eligible students in your school to apply. Please share this guide for applying with your students.
 
Opportunity
The Junior Fellows Program is a paidten-weekvirtual summer internship for undergraduate and graduate students. Junior Fellows work remotely with Library of Congress collections under the guidance of specialists and curators, gaining professional experience and producing a portfolio of work that increases access to the institution’s resources.
 
Key Dates
Wednesday, October 6, 2021: Application period opens
Monday, November 8, 2021: Application period closes
Monday, May 23, 2022: JFP starts
Friday, July 29, 2022: JFP ends

Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
Application Period: Annually

Compensation: Compensation: $13.45 to $16.41 / per hour based on locality. Total for 10 weeks
Academic Credit: The Library does not provide academic credit, but you may arrange with your school in advance to receive credit.
Available Benefits: No Benefits
Program Duration: Short-term. May 23, 2022 – July 29, 2022. Summer 10-week internship appointment. Telework.
Qualifications: Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students, or those who have graduated between the months of December 2021- June 2022.
