Entry Level Process Engineer

NXP's Operations Business Line plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.

As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for identifying and reducing sources of variation, implementing zero defect processes, reducing defectivity, defining tool qualification procedures, improving tool utilization and availability, reducing cycle time, identifying and qualifying new tools, and supporting development or transfer activities.

The manufacturing area utilizes all process disciplines in traditional semiconductors to support a wide variety of NXP products.  Applicants will be matched with process ownership based on a balance between the current skillset and the business needs. Other duties assigned as needed. 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Technical Field, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Previous Semiconductor Manufacturing experience preferred (internship experience accepted)
  • 0 - 2 years work experience, including internships
  • Knowledge of statistical process control
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Teamwork and a desire to work with people to create a positive work environment

Applicants should be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal instruction. The candidate will be expected to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities. They must be able to interact professionally with manufacturing and maintenance to deal with these issues and priorities.
