Student Teacher Internships

Lake & Peninsula School District will work with your university to give you a high quality hands-on student teaching internship. Our schools are all K-12 schools, providing multi-grade and small student to teacher ratio. We will match you with a seasoned host teacher in a village classroom, provide you with great mentorship, and assist you in multiple ways so you can experience Alaska education. When the match is confirmed, we will fly you to Anchorage from the nearest large airport near you, guide you in shopping and preparation for the remote village, fly you to your host school, and provide teacher housing all at no cost to you. Student teachers/interns do need to provide for their own groceries.
