Role Description
We are looking for a two mid-level to Senior Web Developer with heart, passion and dedication to join our web team. As a Web Developer III, you have years of experience in developing professional web applications. You have experience in developing both the front-end and back-end of projects, being a development team lead, and mentoring other developers. (This position will be Remote)
In addition to your technical skills, you have the soft skills needed to be a great communicator and the patience and temperament required to be a resource for other developers on the team.
With the responsibility to build and maintain several global websites, applications, and services, you will have the opportunity to have a large impact on our team and on global web sales for the company.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members to build and maintain web applications
- Peer review projects to make sure code is clean, well-written and follows best practices in web security
- Follow QA processes to ensure quality
- Write advanced, clean code that sets an example for other developers on the team
- Introduce and implement innovative techniques and technologies
- Self-manage completion of projects and work with project managers to meet deadlines
- Manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Develop web designs into applications with exactness
Skills & Experience
- 4+ years industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
- Advanced JavaScript, advanced object-oriented PHP, and MySQL experience
- HTML/CSS and responsive design
- Experience using version control in a team setting (GIT, SVN)
- REST API development experience
- Laravel (or similar MVC framework) experience
- Experience with Nodejs
- Experience with Vue, React, or Angular
- Strong understanding of current web standards and best practices
- Amazon Web Services knowledge and experience a major plus
- Top notch communication skills'both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Deadline driven with extreme attention to detail
- Motivated to research and learn about new technologies and practices
- Sets high standards of performance for oneself and is an example for others on the team
