VPI is seeking a talented and dedicated Manufacturing Engineering InternThis is a part-time position (20-30 hours) located at VPI Manufacturing in Draper, Utah. Job assignment will start immediately and last 3-6 months with the possible opportunity to transition to non-temporary. Wage: $16.50 hourly

VPI takes concepts from an idea scribbled on a napkin through engineering, prototyping, FCC testing, and manufacturing. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for U.S. security clearance
  • College enrolled working toward engineering or computer science degree
  • Basic skills in programming languages, such as Python, Visual Basic, or C++
  • Basic understanding of production flow and manufacturing work instructions
  • As a government contractor, VPI requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved legal exemption. 
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction to others and listen actively
  • Ability to work effectively with all individuals within VPI and client organizations
  • Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Strong quality orientation, including attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • High degree of professionalism and maturity with ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and procedures

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Current U.S. Security Clearance is Preferred
