Space Operations Premier College Summer Intern Program

The Civilian Operations Career Field is looking for a current college junior, or a first-year post-graduate student, interested in a 10-12 week paid summer internship at the Space Force’s premier launch complex at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. Applicants must be pursuing a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree.
 
Position Purpose: The Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) is designed to attract individuals currently enrolled full-time and in good academic standing in college who are seeking a dynamic career with the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS). This is a paid temporary/seasonal PCIP position conducting Program Analyst (Space Operations) at the 30th Space Launch Delta, Vandenberg SFB, CA. The mission of the 30 SLD is to provide robust, relevant, and efficient range and spaceport capabilities for the nation. The PCIP will work alongside civilian and military members of the Space Force – Guardians – in various special projects supporting space launch and range operations. As a PCIP Intern, you may qualify for a full-time position in our PALACE Acquire (PAQ) program once you complete your degree.
 
College junior’s with 60+ credit hours start at the GS-04 pay grade ($17.25/hour). Graduate students with 12+ credit hours start at the GS-05 pay grade ($19.30/hour).
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 
·       A U.S. citizen
·       A full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
·       Pursuing a degree
·       In good academic standing with a GPA no less than 2.95
