Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The Mechanical Innovation Engineer supports New Product Development and Innovation for the company’s Global Rack & Edge Thermal products.
Responsibilities:

  • Investigate new / emerging technologies, innovations, and product opportunities.
  • Create patentable concepts in line with innovation strategy.
  • Create/modify mechanical models in CAD systems, such as CREO.
  • Participate in the building and evaluation of new product prototypes.
  • Create design review presentations.
  • Providing commercially viable product offerings to the product development team.
Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Requirements:

  • Sheetmetal design experience
  • Basic working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods.
  • Basic mechanical CAD tools experience.
  • MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred
  • CREO preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Exposure to industrial design principals desired.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.
  • Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams.
  • Fluency in English  
  • Basic electrical experience a plus
