Work you could do as an Associate Technical Specialist – Automation Testing:
- Participate in the design of the technical test benchmark
- Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
- Create test data and test environments
- Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead
- Identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
- Verify fixes after they are applied to a test system and verifying the results of test cases
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes
- Identify, analyze, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
- Analyze and present test results to clients and project teams clearly
Qualification:
- Basic understanding of the process of Software Testing
- Introductory development background
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology based consulting environment, using agile
- Preferred experience: knowledgeable on design, creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools
About the Client Innovation Center (CIC):
- The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Monroe center
- Some travel is expected, and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site. You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
- You must live in, or be willing to relocate to Monroe, Louisiana once our offices reopen permanently (currently, many IBM offices are working remotely due to Covid)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Role specific requirements
- Exposure to project development as a part of course curriculum or work experience
- Experience working with relational databases, writing SQL queries, data analytical or statistical background
- Extensive use of Java/C#/python or any other programming language on your projects
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
- Experience with Web, Mobile and API and Cloud based tools and technologies
- Ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies and changing
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology-based consulting environment
- Must be able to start work full time between January – June 2022
