Work you could do as an Associate Automation Test Specialist
• Participate in the design of the technical test benchmark
• Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
• Create test data and test environments
• Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead
• Identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
• Verify fixes after they are applied to a test system and verifying the results of test cases
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes
• Identify, analyze, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
• Analyze and present test results to clients and project teams clearly

About the Client Innovation Center (CIC):
• The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Lansing center
• Some travel is expected, and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site. You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
• You must live in, or be willing to relocate to Michigan once our offices reopen permanently (currently, many IBM offices are working remotely due to Covid)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Demonstrated programming proficiency and experience with 1 of the following Java, C++, C#, Python is required. In addition, exposure to at least one of the following: SQL, database systems, Software testing process, as well as systems design/development, and information technology course work
  • Exposure to web services, API, and Test Automation frameworks highly desired
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, technology-based consulting environment, using Agile methodologies
  • Experience/knowledge around Web, Mobile and API and Cloud based tools and technologies
  • Ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies and changing requirements

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Certifications in any programming languages or Cloud
