Intern- Quality Engineer
Quality Process Improvement is responsible for administrate/define process improvements for Monitoring Group. Provides guidance in use of Engineering procedures and Software Process. Creates and maintains process improvement plans; documents process guidelines and adherence to quality standards (Capability Maturity Model / ISO 9001-2000). Monitors process improvements progress by tracking measures and reporting metrics. Monitor and track product quality measures for both internal and field returns.
Intern would interact on a daily basis with Software Development, Software Test, Firmware Development and Hardware Development Engineers. Intern would interact periodically with persons from Vertiv Quality and outside of Vertiv (e.g. with Vertiv's Software Center of Excellence).
- Collect measures, analysis for root cause and monitor improvements (Process & Product)
- Work with process engineers in creation and maintenance of Quality process / procedures documents
- Engineering Tool software upgrades and installations.
- Investigate technologies that might be used to improve our process and products.
- Maintain process improvement Web site and quality assurance manual.
- Create and maintain Training material for Software Engineering processes.
