Network Security/SASE Engineer (Software)

This acquisition is a significant step forward in Aruba’s WAN transformation journey and demonstrates HPE’s continued commitment to double down on the Edge. The addition of Silver Peak into the Aruba portfolio will strengthen Aruba ESP (Edge Services Platform), helping to architect the hybrid workplace with a comprehensive edge-to-cloud networking solution covering all aspects of wired, wireless LAN and, wide-area networking (WAN).
The network security engineer will be responsible for the development of appliance security/Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) features. The engineer will implement and maintain Firewall, SSL/IP Sec VPN features, and functions. She/he will be also responsible for enhancements to obtain industry certifications such as FIPS/CC.
How you’ll make your mark:
Responsibilities:
Design and implement Network Security/Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) features for physical and virtual Silver Peak appliances.
Extend and enhance Linux cryptographic components and modules such as OpenSSL/OpenSSH with new features and functionality.
Collaborate with external security consultants to test and validate kernel and crypto components, to obtain and retain FIPS and CC certification

Required Skills and Experience:
-         Excellent command over a commonly used programming language such as C\C++, Java
-         General Linux development skills including multithreading, C proficiency, Git experience, debugging with GDB is a must.
-         Good knowledge of Networking protocols including TCP/IP
-         Product development experience using OpenSSL or an equivalent library
-         Strong development experience in applications of protocols such as IKE, IPsec, TLS, SSH
-         Excellent background in Public Key algorithms, Hash algorithms, Cipher algorithms, and Public Key Infrastructure
-         Experience in hardware-based crypto acceleration using AES-NI, SafeNet, HiFn, or equivalent
-         Experience working with open source libraries such as OpenSSH, libgcrypt.
-         Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience. Exceptional new grads with MS or Ph.D. in network security will be considered for the position.
-         Knowledge of Microsoft, Linux, and Unix Operating Systems
Education:
- BS/MS in EE/CS essential.
