Electrical Engineer

METER Group, Inc. USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its METER Environment Division.  In addition to designing electrical systems and testing components, this individual will take a lead role in electronic design for multiple product development teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop analog and digital circuitry for sensors and data acquisition products.
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians through circuit reviews and direct mentorship.
  • Devise and develop novel sensing circuitry and applications in partnership with R&D.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or other relevant fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in applied electronics engineering.
  • Know how to create schematics and layout circuit boards using CAD tools
  • Experience with engineering documentation best practices.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Pullman, WA (no remote candidates considered).
  • Background check results satisfactory to METER.
  • Strong professional references.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Scrum or Agile product development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of EMI minimization techniques
Vision:
  • Take a lead role in electronic design for multiple product development (Scrum) teams within 3 months of hire.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop circuitry for novel sensing techniques within 6 months of hire.
