Structural Engineering Intern

Point 7 Engineering, a structural consulting firm specializing in high-end residential and timber structures, is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a summer internship (approximately May–August). This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world structural design, analysis, and documentation within a professional consulting environment, working directly with the firm's project managers on active projects.

Responsibilities include assisting with structural analysis and design calculations for wood, steel, and concrete systems; supporting development of construction documents in Revit and/or AutoCAD; preparing calculation packages and redlining drawings; assisting with coordination between architectural, structural, and other disciplines; performing field observations and documentation as needed; and supporting general project execution and internal workflows.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position at approximately 40 hours per week, based primarily out of the firm's office with occasional site visits. It's well suited to a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical experience with applicable building codes, material standards, and detailing approaches ahead of entering the profession full-time.
