Contract Laboratory Technician

Corteva Agriscience™, has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Laboratory Technician in the Process Chemistry and Radiochemistry Labs in Indianapolis, IN. (Contingent workers/contractors are not employees of Corteva or any of its subsidiaries, nor will they be eligible for Corteva employment benefits)

 

In the Process Chemistry and Radiochemistry Labs, we support the synthesis of process research samples and isotopically-labeled test materials. Our labs are equipped with a diverse array of instrumentation, making every day an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with experts in the field. 

 

The incumbent will provide technical support in the Process Chemistry and Radiochemistry Labs through hands-on synthetic experimentation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, a willingness to learn, attention to laboratory cleanliness with radioisotopes, and the ability to multitask successfully and efficiently. This role offers a unique chance to work with a variety of instruments and contribute to groundbreaking research

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Work under supervision of Process and Radiochemistry scientists.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments used for organic synthesis.
  • Conduct experiments and collect data accurately and efficiently.
  • Analyze experimental results and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with researchers and experts to support ongoing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of experimental procedures.
  • Communicates project status in a timely fashion.
  • Meet all Corteva EHS&S compliance standards and foster a strong commitment to safety.
  • Capable of acting and resolving issues independently. 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Previous synthetic laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory software and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or related fields.
