Beehive State Panel Intern

The Beehive State Panel (https://artsci.usu.edu/canri/projects/beehive-state-panel) is seeking a paid undergraduate intern to gain hands-on experience in survey research and applied social science. Working closely with Dr. Jessica Schad, the intern will help develop and implement a probability-based web panel designed to gather representative perspectives from Utah residents on issues important to the state. Depending on the student’s interests and skills, responsibilities may include developing and pretesting survey questions, programming surveys, assisting with data analysis and weighting, preparing research or policy briefs and academic publications, and sharing findings with policymakers, organizations, and academic audiences. Applicants should be ArtSci majors or minors who have completed SOC 3110 (Research Methods) or an equivalent course and are interested in survey methodology, public engagement, and evidence-based decision-making. The internship will be tailored to the student’s academic and career goals and offers valuable experience in research, communication, and public impact.
Must be a Utah State University College of Arts & Sciences undergraduate student.
