The Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist (full time/seasonal) develops and delivers evidence-based prevention programs and education in school and community settings. This position works with students, families, educators, and community partners to promote awareness, reduce risk factors, and support healthy choices.
Duties include coordinating prevention initiatives, providing training and educational presentations, preparing program materials, supporting Student Assistance Program (SAP) teams, maintaining required documentation, entering program data, and evaluating program effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and passionate about community outreach, education, and behavioral health. This position provides valuable experience in prevention services, public health, and human services. Occasional evening and flexible hours may be required.
